Para ayudarlos a hacer frente a la contingencia que ha afectado sus ingresos económicos, debido a las bajas ventas, el Ayuntamiento de Ixtapaluca hizo entrega de despensas a personas adultas mayores y mujeres embarazadas que tienen un negocio informal en la vía pública.
Yéssica González Figueroa, presidenta del DIF municipal, junto con el director de Desarrollo Económico, Francisco Guzmán Navarro, recorrieron en una primera etapa los diferentes puntos del municipio para beneficiar a las y los comerciantes.
“Hay una realidad dolorosa que no podemos ni debemos ocultar, y es que una gran parte de la gente del pueblo tiene que continuar saliendo, aunque no quiera, porque carece de un empleo fijo, vive al día y se ve expuesta a diario al contagio porque debe trabajar para dar de comer a su familia”, dijo
Por eso, afirmó: “exigimos al gobierno federal y del Estado de México los beneficios de un programa de apoyo alimentario para que las familias que viven en situación de pobreza, desempleo y empleo informal puedan estar seguras sin salir de sus casas para evitar más contagios”.
Las despensas contienen productos de la canasta básica como frijol, café, arroz, atún, lentejas, galletas, avena, azúcar, sopas, así como artículos para la limpieza. Se tiene contemplado hacer entrega de una segunda despensa.
Durante el recorrido se les solicita a las y los comerciantes tomar las medidas necesarias de protección como el lavado correcto y frecuente de manos, así como el uso de cubre boca, guantes y la sana distancia para prevenir algún contagio.
González Figueroa, comentó que las y los comerciantes cuentan con un Ayuntamiento solidario que se preocupa por ellos, ellas y sus familias.
Agregó que a las personas con discapacidad se les entregó su apoyo económico a través de una tarjeta. El apoyo se seguirá dando bimestralmente como se ha manejado en los últimos años, recalcó la presidenta del DIF.
