La realización de la consulta ciudadana por la construcción del Banco Bienestar en el municipio de Tepetlixpa generó cierta controversia, entre quienes creen que es un tema meramente político o quienes aseguran que es de relevancia para los intereses del municipio, CNXN, hizo unas entrevistas a ciudadanos quienes manifestaron estar de acuerdo con su derecho a la elección en los diversos temas que incumben al municipio.
Algunas voces indicaron que la consulta es importante porque tanto, existen personas que no están de acuerdo como quienes asegurarán que es un beneficio para los adultos mayores y grupos vulnerables.
